Friday, September 12, 2008 Y 10:33 PM five faces, seven things The general office called me (while i was in school yesterday) so my phone rang like shizzzzz and I happily thought it was someone else until Tie Hong pointed out that the ringtone seemed to be coming from my bag -.- Never mind that, debates cracked me up properly today. Funny thing is, I cannot seem to remember what exactly I was laughing over. But I can remember the tears in my eyes, the happy beads I haven't had from school in a while. Tears from laughter always taste sweet, for some reason I suppose you can fathom. After building another condominum on the hill, they've opened up a nice large grassy patch in our backyard stretching all the way to the other hill, up, up and away on a long white staircase all little girls want to walk down, not unlike the wedding aisle. These changes happen suddenly, like an appearance overnight, the displacement of the main staircase from a flowery, non-existant palace. I like the road up best when the skies have just done raining, the gravel is wet and scrunchy, the light spills in uneven proportions across the land and its ten floor towers. The dark, evening, surroundings have this strange inexplicable warmth from the fresh wetness, the grass on its own bending upwards and the power houses, dripping, dripping. Labels: the foreign |
