my mommy's green dress

Nobody takes away my Sunday mornings. Sunday mornings are for sleeping in and religious classes!

Umph another day spent on my feet. I bought six fat red roses, the auntie gave me nice fat blooming ones :D For huishan zihao lydia louisa & jinjing. I went out with Mr. Self-Proclaimed Bored to watch WALL-E @ Cineleisure Orchard! The animation was FAB (partially because we caught the digital version) and the characters were all sooooooo adorable! As usual Mr. Bored ate his jumbo hotdog and claimed the movie was quite sian. The thing is we walked through the entrance to the movie halls without having our ticket stubs taken, meaning we could simply have watched the show for free. Tsk tsk so both of us have the full portion of our tickets to keep for the first time ever!

The WALL-E movie has every scene hand-drawn and layered six times to create the marvellous effect that I usually take for granted. His eyes has every single damned expression you can never create from a pair of old binoculars, and I love his container home with all the tinkydinkys he collects! I didnt quite like Eva though, I didn't figure she was female until Wall-E fell for her. It's very worth watching for the technical aspect but the plot's climax didn't get to a large audience, unfortunately. It sends a pretty serious message about how we are all killing the Earth and we could end up like bulging pugdy bigoted humans zipping around on automated chairs in the Axiom. One good, practical and forward looking movie from Pixar :D

Mr. Bored and I walked to Taka where the sole of my flats came off and i threw them away and by the time I reached Tanjong Pagar the shoe had a large silt that evidently showed that it was going to fall apart anytime. Being the resourceful person that I am I bought a large box of plasters (the woman at Cheers must have thought I was mad) and attempted to stick the shoe together. Hansaplast does not work on anything other than human skin -.- Then Winata came and saved my ass by paying for a new pair of wedges from a random stall for me! We bought it fully on impulse. Like grab-try on-suitable-buy! It was a five-minute business and I had spent 40 bucks but I was saaaaaaved. Thank you Winata in the low-cut green cleavage showing dress! =D

This is becoming a very long entry o.o

The CO concert was in essence very interesting! I have avoided dull classical performances at best these few years but the pieces that they played tonight were lively! Except for a glitch in the second piece everything else was great and the pudgy conductor had hilarious moves. I loved the encore piece by Richard Clayderman (Rhythm of the Rain) because I've never heard it played by an orchestra before and Richard Clayderman's pieces are AWESOME. I can totally appreciate that kind of classical!

We met the CO people after their performance and saw zihao in his pretty pink colored lipstick, congratulated them with the fat roses and the rest packed up and went to eat.

The new shoes are surprisingly comfortable, I'm terribly glad they are worth the price (: The bed is calling me, bye y'all!

I <3 6AA'04!

Snooze count this morning: 8

But I got to school on time! Today was lovely. We had large cakes, about a ton of chips, fruit and a lot of green tea for the classparty thing and we did this hilarious game of musical chairs! :D

Then Kaylene, Angel & I went back to KPS and thronged with all the other lians and bengs at the front gates to enter the school. Maybe they have a school policy for locking their ex-students out :O We met up with the HC + NY + ACSI + VS + FMSS people and celebrated ms.kho's belated birthday with a mango fruit cake and took pictures! All the guys that came back shot waaaaay up, and Ivan is Person Who Changed The Most this year! Head count was something close to 20, although declining but still pretty good (:

We went to have lunch, have some big gossiping session and play bball at an estate near the school where we were talking and Ying Ci voiced that the SAP sch people had a drop in language abilities. Then I realised that after four years in RV I have picked up this undesirable skill of inserting chinese words into my english sentences and vice versa! Mental note: Make a conscious effort to speak properly.

The bball session was partly a PT session for us girls because the ball went in sequence from somebody in my team to the Fat Boy - Yangjim/Dexter (who throws the ball all the way across the court) - Lands in Abdul's embrace - Then he shoots -.- So much so that at one point YingCi and Yinkuan gave up and started giving commentary for the match! The only time when I got hold of the ball was when Jeffrey's amazing dribbling skills led the ball to go btwn his legs and land at my feet HAHAHAHA. Then I was laughing so hard Ivan had to come and get the ball from me. We didnt have enough people on the teams so a few strangers joined us and everybody started calling everybody else by their shirts. Dickson was Cottage, Jiehan was Hwachong, Adidas Boy was Adidas Boy and Andie was Waterpolo HAHAHHA. Kaylene and I were in charge of giving each other hi-fives when our team scored a goal lol.

That paragraph is short of many other cheek-cramping moments though (: It is rare that we all still go back to visit after four whole years, most probably thanks to ms.kho's arranged commuter lunches ha!

Mmmm it's late and I should go to bed because I have to go get fresh roses tmrw for the RVCO concert at night. The SCH looks like a really plush place! :D

clocks

I killed my physics paper! Sigh. Okay im finally blogging after CT (you have NO IDEA how many starbucks i had throughout that horrible week) because it's been really busy and I havent had time to sit down and read Foxmask ): I'm waiting for my egg to boil. Do eggs boil? Okay it's the water (:

I went for EL (my first session) yesterday and we went to Australian Intl to watch friendly debates between the year ones from both schools. Debates looks fun but pressurizing, a girl from AIS froze up while it was her turn to speak and and she stood there for a full minute going 'er..', must have been embarrassing! We saw cute little caucasian children that jesslyn was obssessing over xD It was interesting and really fun although I havent gotten round to interacting with the rest, thank you all (:

I woke up blardy early (for a Saturday morning) and went for a lecture today with ariel, winata and eileeneo amongst other HISSOC people and the speaker was the author of our history textbooks! DHS is terribly like RV except that they have vending machines (!!!), a Sakae Sushi stall and their bookstore is a Popular franchise. But I nearly dozed off during Q&A so..

Then I'm going out again in a while to meet Ah Lau (as everybody calls her HAHA) to have dinner and buy flowers before we go to UCC for the CLDDS performance. I heard they had gruelling training that lasted throughout the whole CT period, the show tonight must be really good, their stage actors transcend my chinese deficiency, i can understand them perfectly well :D

Next week will be used for homeworking, I havent touched a bit of my weekend work yet :O Bye!

P/S There have been all kinds of people living in my block recently. There's a angmoh punk rocker teen cum chain smoker on the first floor who plays LP at 2am in the night, a Japanese anime-looking boy that owns a large, fat woolly dog on the 3rd floor and a couple of Danish and Caucasian-marries-Philippine families on the 10th floor. How very multiracial!

Food for Empty Spaces

Feel much better after talking to hest, thank you (:

I picked up the free bilingual newspaper from yesterday to read about Phelp's new record and in a miserly side column sat one heading which made me nearly spit out my tofu:

KRISPY KREME OPENING IN KL NEXT YEAR! And my first thought was: I'm so going to apply for a regular visa to Malaysia lol.

For all of you who haven't heard of Krispy Kreme (you cant because it was so flamboyantly featured in sex&thecity) it pawns your dunkin'/dippin'/missy donuts entirely even before the first bite because the label is spelt: Krispy Kreme Doughnuts. Not donuts but doughnuts ahhh <3.

Simply Fabulous

Can you believe that it's got franchise all over the world (even in Africa!) BUT not in SG. Krispy Kreme doughnuts are in second placing (after Disneyland) on my list of Ten Best Things I Love About The States :D I might just cut class to get a snack across the causeway next year. How exciting.

I wonder if they'll do home deliveries! Will get my hands on more details after bloc tests (:

Status: One day to History paper - haven't made significant progress yet.

R.O.D. @ 08.08.08

(National Day celebrations)

I would say it was one of the best school organized events as it didnt involve a string full of boring speeches but we had a loud rock band that we could actually sing along to and community singing was a hell lot of fun (:

(End National Day celebrations)

While you were at home in front of your large-screen HD tv set oogling at the Beijing Olympics Opening, thirty people were being ROD-ed in the school hall but it was nonetheless amazing! We had an awfully formal parade on the tracks at 5PM and witnessed the changing over of I.C.s. Sad stuff. Last time wearing full uniform and I didn't feel too stiff after a while, I might just miss it. Then we crashed the preparation scene and demanded food at 7PM and the Sec 3s had to guard the doors and ended up locking the Sec 2s out as well. But being the nice people that we are, we left them to their devices and did the red carpet walk (without the red carpet haha!) fifteen minutes later into the dimmed and fan-less hall (which reminds me about that feedback form i have to write about our school's sickbay) in our almost woollen jackets.

We were seated at the front centre of the hall and started on the drinks placed before us. Yueting went back six times to refill her cup so i suppose it we were really thirsty (or maybe the drink was nice). The American Boy dance was first on the line-up and I think we did really well! Nobody screwed up and it was pretty well-coordinated ^^ I think Yiling had to put a lot of effort to lift me because my legs were all wobbly x) Then we ran off to change and returned to watch the Sec 2s dedication followed by the Sec 1s dance and the Sec 3s dance(s) which were all really cute and sincere and left quite a few sqdmates tearing!

Then we had a nice video (packed with our pictures) that I srsly suspect to have come from the 60GB publicity harddrive and it was our dance finale! Which turned out really well too because I didnt fall on my ass while turning and the thrust fall went smoothly (: Then we got humongous load of gifts (which filled one huge bag that we lugged home) and the plagues were spiffy and glamorous =D A few of us stopped to get drinks at JE and sat on the steps with our large bags and uniform covers and we probably looked like runaway children judging from the passerbys' discerning looks.

No pictures as of yet because we were busy rushing, running around and doing stuff the entire day. Four years seemed to have just flown past and I could still remember vaguely our first orientation session, clearly our pumping in the rain and marching in puddles, and vividly our mt K trip and the summit climb and one ROD after another. This is ours and now even this is over. Going to miss the sweaty RVNP days now that we are offically retired :/

hello august!

This place is so very dead, because I am inclined to falling asleep very often for no apparent reason. And I stay asleep fairly long, long enough to miss the television shows and homework -.- Which is why my knowledge of vectors is zee terrible.

I fell asleep in Chemistry today, tuned out on morning announcements and missed something important, and did History homework during Biology the umpteenth time (as Tu Yan will tell you).

One hilariously blurred class photo from ages ago after Explorers and Connectors (:

I've got a memory-card packed with photos but no appropriate time to upload them. That, and my laziness. Sigh. I have an unhealthy craving for murder & gore loaded fiction. There must be a lack of violence in my life somewhere.
