高级华文!

I would like to thank: Hester Geraldine Eileen Jun Yi Jhosy Winata Lydia Rachael Kaylene Tu Yan Dong Qi Tie Hong, especially ANGHUISHAN & MS. LOO ; everybody who helped or attempted to help with my atrociously bad chinese these whole four years because

I HAVE PASSED MY O LEVELS HCL WITH SUPER HAPPY YELLOW BANANA COLOURS! In the omg-now-i-really-have-to-jump-over-the-moon way.

Be it offering your chinese spelling answers within my eyespan, patiently explaining to me the meaning of the commonest four word phrase ever, reading out the compre questions to me, constantly telling me what every blardy term in zonghetiankong meant (tiehong!) or just forwarding your completed duhougan to me, my chinese intellect has apparently grown under all ye gracious tutelage and I haven't forgotten (:

ANGHUISHAN Thanks for trying to and successfully communicating to me in chinese, you have been a great help I never expected to have, and reading the shaonianwenzhai magazine so enthusiastically (haha now everybody knows!) so that I have the motivation to look at the captions below the pictures for every issue. Thanks a mil for giving me the-chinese-mood before the papers cos the relief teacher couldn't do shit to help me :D

MS. LOO Everybody says you've been slacky and you probably burnt all our zuowens that you never returned to us but I think you are fantastic. Thanks for simply looking at my essays from another perspective and letting me know my chinese was not a lost cause (: You have no idea how much it helped compared to the feedback i had from my other chinese teachers narrows eyes. I am glad I went for the last year of chinese remedials (yes darlings i've been on the list for chinese remedial since the first week of sec 1, i think i've got the gold membership already) cos I learnt so much more there than during class.

Well people, this has marked the end of my academic chinese life and no, I am not making forays into this area of study any time soon.

So Charmaine and her A walked happily into the sunset.

THE VERY END

Say hello to post-IP-exam-life!

The very first thing I did after the last paper was to make my (quick) way to IKEA with Kaylene Lydia & Winata for POACHED SALMON WITH BAKED POTATOES AND BROCOLLI! Did you hear that? Poached salmon! Horribly high mercury content but to hell with brain destruction, I can concentrate on doing brainless and fun things already! Extremely delicious, proper food that restored my, um, long-delayed euphoria.

Then we went for retail therapy across the street and I saw this really pretty maroon suede strappy heels from Charles & Keith that were REALLY NICE but the heel was far too high ): I'm not about to kill my feet for nice looking shoes, unfortunately. We walked and walked and found these $69.90 Club Marc white & black long sleeved shirts (for THIMUN!) on sale and selling at TEN DOLLARS omgwtfbbq and many other outlets doing the same. Not going to disclose the name of the place in case it gets flooded x)

And i got this pair of pretty shoelaces that have green and yellow fat stars printed on them to tie onto my green sport shoes! =D I am so very very glad. Kaylene and I roamed, literally roamed the whole of West Mall like I've never done before and mind you I've been going there for the past eight years! Sans Bookshop was replaced by a Korean supermart, to my absolute horror and to Kaylene's extreme joy. My lovely bookshop removed for a place selling cute files and all sorts of jajiangmyan? UGH :( my only consolation is that the stationary is simply adorable (:

OH MY IDIOT BOX, HERE I COME! <3

understand cram apply score

Went out for a long-course dinner to celebrate Dad's birthday today, and this marks my latest foray into chinese cuisine, from Yunnam. Not exactly a joyful experience because the Yunnamese (are they called that?) apparently take a liking to adding wasabi and spicy sauces to the dish and successfully robbing it of the original flavouring -.-

I was really pleased by the individual servings and the chic way that the sauces are arranged on the plate although I didn't touch them:

Genuine shark's fin soup with dollops of the fin
Oh, the controversies; high mercury levels, endangered sharks..

In actual fact the fin is no specialty, I like the soup base a lot more. Too bad their prices are the other way round ):

Tiger prawns in some soy + ketchup concoction

Cod, of which only makes up less than half of that miserable piece on the plate
But look at the sauce decor, so pretty!

Yam paste pudding which I dug into already

And a few more normal looking normal tasting commonly seen ones.

Isn't this supposed to be the time of high stress levels, tightening social outings and boosting the brain? I guess whatever stays in your brain stays and whatever doesn't will be really hard to force in so dumdums really wish I had stayed awake last year when they were teaching coordinate geometry because those lines just dont get together in my brain!

TEN MORE PAPERS! then indulgence (:

(will reply to comments afterward)

quite dreadful

RAINY DAY BY FREDERIC D.

"Now, that looks pale in comparison."

"The love of a family is life's greatest blessing." Oh dear Lord, it had better be. Why did I even feel compelled to write on something too deep to explain, and MY POINTS WERE TRIVIAL! I felt I was revolving around the nuclear family, the parents, the children, the adverse effects, the widespread feeling and I didn't write the stuff that I wanted to write UGH.

The thought that "is it really life's GREATEST blessing" came to me far too late into the essay. (Well it is, by the way. You don't make a family as you want it, you get what you get.) So many things eluded me while writing. My memory is failing.

I was sniffing and choking on my own noxious runny nose substance throughout the whole paper and at some point my brain liquid must have started flowing in the wrong direction. It must!

I could have chosen the one on the topic of education in films, but I didn't. I like things that I can explore, look into and write about but I didn't cover very much ground and I think I was just chipping the tip of the iceberg the whole way, which is digusting and sloppy behaviour and ugggggggggh my writing is going on the downward plunge like the sub-prime crisis is doing to the US dollar!

And I am quite positive that I spelt juvenile deliquency in a queer manner.

I am such a whiner aren't I. Never mind, I shall go and look for a nice, loving mountain hole to hide myself in.

Sad Textbook Noises

Hey.
I don't feel good. Today at least, I think my voice is irritating. It irritates myself! How can your voice irritate yourself -.- Anyway I spent the night on the living room couch because there was some bloody fast-flapping-wheezing fly in my bedroom which I couldn't chase out. I threw my A Math textbook onto it and I swear it was trapped under the book for like 10 seconds, then I took the book back up, thinking there, sticky things have sticky ends, when the damned fly flapped its wings right up and disappeared above my head.

It was quite slow-moving that day anyway, most probably cos it didn't get to suck my blood for quite long now. Dang fly.

I had to wake up at 7am this morning for the CC Comp (not that I'm complaining) but we went there for nothing because it was pouring so heavily the grass looked like SEAWEED. In the sense that it was like, swimming in the smelly water already. And the most of the bashas looked like sunken botox-injected boobs. Multiple pairs! Don't get me wrong, I LOVE THE RAIN. But that love is only confined to sleeping time, or Tuesday phys ed lessons.

So yeah, wasted morning. And we were all drenched because nobody (that's including me) had enough sense to open an umbrella (I didn't say "bring" because BFF decided to only open his when we reached the bus stop x.x)

I went for my monthly dental appointment today and I got really tight chains on my braces this time round which hurts so bad! BFF chose lime green and boy it looks kinda weird, especially if I smiled at you from about 5m away you would have though my mouth was full of luminous algae.
Anyways this screwed up my dinner successfully.

We went shopping at night and I saw this pair of GORGEOUS sport shoes (I don't know, I dont find anything gorgeous about girly shoes, the word for them is instead: painful) that were ON SALE. $29.90! Newsflash: TWENTY NINE NINETY! ONLY! But my dad refused to pay for them, and instead made me purchase a pair of egyptian looking slippers painted silver with a mickey mouse jewel seated in velvet cloth which was about $24.

Honestly! You could give, no, just loan me five bucks and I can get that spiffy pair of ON SALE running shoes instead of some sandals that make my feet look overly exposed and naked. I can so predict the pain when people step on my little toe that is left hanging vulnerably from the slipper ZZZ!

And I saw a corporate looking dress I like! I found the lovely Sony Ericsson clamshell Z series phone is actually still selling (wonderfulwonderful!) and I'm so going to get it HEH.

But I'm worried about my math paper on Monday. Like really really worried. MATH!!!!!!!!!! I've covered the Addition, Double A, R and Factor Formulae today already but I haven't tried the Revision and Misc Exercise AND I havent started on Sin/Cos Rule AND I haven't touched my homework AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

I can envision the dominatorix MATH paper wearing my dream running shoes and running away with my marks in tonight's dream.
SAVE ME!.
